FAQ

Frequently asked questions about LOCATOL.

If you are wondering how LOCATOL works, how pricing is structured, or how the central reservation connects to your planning, you are in the right place.

General

LOCATOL is a technology platform dedicated to car rental agencies. It combines a full management back-office (SaaS) with a real-time central reservation connected to your fleet, pricing and business rules.

No. LOCATOL is not the owner, operator or lessor of vehicles. The rental contract is always concluded directly between your agency (the Supplier) and the end customer.

LOCATOL is designed to support multiple languages for both your teams and your customers. The public site and central reservation can be available in several languages, and the back-office can also be localized progressively.

Pricing & billing

The LOCATOL management application is billed per active vehicle. The reference model is 1 Moroccan dirham (excluding tax) per day and per active vehicle, payable in advance on a quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis.

When a customer books via the LOCATOL central reservation, 10% of the total booking amount is collected online. This amount corresponds to both the LOCATOL commission and the customer deposit. The remaining balance is paid directly to your agency when the vehicle is delivered.

Depending on your context, onboarding and specific integrations can be subject to a dedicated setup phase. In all cases, LOCATOL aims to keep pricing simple, transparent and predictable for car rental agencies.

Central reservation

LOCATOL takes into account your confirmed bookings, technical downtime, administrative operations, expected returns and potential overruns. Only vehicles that are truly available for the requested period are displayed to the customer.

Once the deposit is paid, the booking is confirmed and the vehicle is blocked in your planning. You receive all the details in your back-office, and the remaining balance is paid by the customer on pickup, directly to your agency.

Yes, as long as all bookings (including phone, email, or walk-in reservations) are recorded in LOCATOL. This is essential to keep real-time availability accurate and avoid double bookings.

Data & integration

You remain the owner of your commercial data (clients, bookings, vehicles). LOCATOL owns the platform, the booking engine and the underlying technology, but not your business data.

LOCATOL is built with a strong focus on security, access control, and traceability. Technical measures and access rights are designed to protect both your internal users and your customers.

Support & onboarding

During onboarding, we help you configure your vehicles, categories, pricing, rules and users. The goal is to reflect your real operational processes in LOCATOL as closely as possible.

You can contact the LOCATOL team via the contact form on the site or through dedicated support channels once your agency is onboarded. The average response time target is under 24 business hours.
